What is counselling?

Can we talk before I book?

Counselling is a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship that gives you the time and space to explore your feelings and thoughts.  You are the best expert on you - I won't advise you or tell you what to feel, but will help you with the process of working through what's happening and finding the way forward that's right for you.

Absolutely.  I offer a free 15 minute conversation where we can talk about what you're looking for and how we might work together in counselling.  It's also an opportunity for you to see if you'll feel comfortable working with me.  If I don't think I'm the right therapist for you I'll explain why and suggest alternatives if possible.

What if it's an emergency?

What does it cost?

Fees are £45 per 50 minute counselling session.

Where offered, sessions held in your own home cost an additional £15.  Restrictions apply - please contact me to discuss.

If you're at immediate risk of harm, call 999 or visit the nearest Accident & Emergency (A&E) Department.

To talk to someone right away, call Samaritans on 115 123 or text SHOUT to 85258. These services are 24 hour, free, anonymous and you'll be listened to without judgment.

You can also call NHS 111 if you need urgent medical advice.
